Amended July 2022
The revised classification is based on analyses of floristic survey plot data held in BioNet, and includes consideration of both floristic and environmental data. The report details the many components of the classification process including data selection and cleaning, gap-filling surveys, choice of clustering algorithm and development of a standardised workflow to review draft clusters. The resulting classification is compared against past regional plot-based classifications to assess the level of change.
The revised classification is proposed to be adopted into the PCT master list.
