Air quality in the Namoi/North West Slopes region was always good during summer 2022–23, and all stations met national benchmarks on 100% of days. Good air quality across the region was sustained by the prevailing climate conditions. A drier than average with below-average rainfall for all summer months, cooler temperatures, and greater than 95% ground cover reduced dust activity.
