The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service is working with the community to deliver the Dorrigo Escarpment Great Walk project on Gumbaynggirr Country on the NSW North Coast.

This document provides an overview of feedback received on the Dorrigo Escarpment Great Walk project.

The project has 2 main components:

  • the Dorrigo Arc Rainforest Centre – a new visitor centre and elevated walkway on the footprint of the existing Dorrigo Rainforest Centre
  • the Dorrigo Escarpment Great Walk – a 46-km multi-day walk with purpose-built low-impact hiker huts and camping platforms.

Draft master plans for each project component were on public exhibition from 13 October 2023 to 15 January 2024.
