Field surveys provide information for:
- an assessment of significance when a proposed development is likely to impact threatened species
- a species impact statement, which is needed for a development on land containing critical habitat or that will impact threatened species, under the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 or the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979
- assessments under the BioBanking Scheme to calculate biodiversity impacts and gains.
