Almost half of all threatened species in NSW are best managed at this level.
Site-managed species are protected by locating them at specific sites. This allows critical threats such as predators to be managed and species to be protected in the long term.
Actions to manage threats may include weeding, controlling erosion or revegetation, and monitoring the results.
The 440 or so site-managed species include the beach stone-curlew, creeping hop-bush and eastern bristlebird.
