Scheme fees

There are fees for various elements of the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme, as set out in the Biodiversity Conservation Regulation 2017.

Fees for the transfer or retirement of biodiversity credits are paid to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water for an application to transfer or retire biodiversity credits.

When the department has received an application to transfer or retire biodiversity credits, we will send an invoice for fee payment. Information about how to pay the fee are included in the invoice.

Fees are adjusted annually for CPI.
